Maybe a farmer's market? I propagated lots of Aloe plants and put them in nice coffee cups from Thrift stores intending to sell them for 50 cents each at our Farmer's market (making at least a 30 cent profit on each) but I am not going to sit out there in this weather so you may use my idea. What kind of a plant business? Are there any plant businesses already going in your area? Is there a demand for any certain types of plants? What about being a person who cares for people's plants? I have a friend who opened a plant care business and now she has 4 full-time employees. She takes care of office plants and people's house plants when they go on vacation. She waters and feeds them and anything else that needs done to them. You need to find a "nitch" that hasn't been filled by someone else. Just some things to think about. Annie :o)[SMILE][HEART]

p.s. In our area there is a growing need for native plants and a couple of native plants nurseries have grown up here.[SMILE][HEART]

Tropical plants... I love them. They don't work so well in our climate zone... high dry desert. Sooo... first question: Is there a market in your area for tropical plants? Second question: Do you have expertise in the area of tropical plants? Third question: What would be your initial monetary layout to get started? example - what special equipment is needed? green house? sprinkler system?

Not trying to throw a "wet blanket" on your idea because most people who have ideas have really good ones. You just need to look at the whole picture so that you don't get into something that will end up not working.

Also... you should list the postives of this project. If there are more positives than negatives... then go for it !!!![THUMBUP][SMILE][HEART]
